Located across from Lumena, Hightower Beach Park is home to a captivating 17-acre sea turtle preserve revered by locals for its natural beauty. From March to October each year, visitors are treated to the captivating sights of nesting sea turtles. Hightower Beach Park is renowned as the primary nesting area for green sea turtles. As the summer nights approach, these majestic creatures emerge from the ocean to lay their eggs, and later, the hatchlings embark on their epic journey towards the ocean. Hightower Beach Park’s 560-foot boardwalk offers an ideal vantage point to marvel at this incredible spectacle.
